In our increasingly digital world, it’s becoming more novel to have physical media available. Especially where VR is concerned. Perp Games is launching Crossfire: Sierra Squad today for PSVR 2, flying the flag for disk-based gaming.
Smilegate Entertainment’s Crossfire: Sierra Squad launched last summer for PSVR 2 and PCVR headsets. The developer then followed that up with the addition of crossplay between the two platforms. But if you’re a PSVR 2 owner who has yet to buy the game, Perp is selling a Crossfire: Sierra Squad – Poster and Stickers Edition for £29.99 GBP. This Perp Store edition includes a limited edition Signed Inlay, an A4 Poster, 2 x Postcards and 2 x Logo Stickers. Mainly focused on the European market, if you do live further afield then you can get a quote.

Crossfire gets physical
Crossfire: Sierra Squad offers a mixture of single-player and co-op multiplayer missions. Rather than being a pure tactical multiplayer game. Own your own there are 13 campaign missions to complete. While the 50 squad missions support single-player or 2-player co-op. Additionally, there’s a Horde Mode where up to four players can team up and fight waves of enemies.
Players will be able to choose from 39 weapon types including pistols, rifles, throwable – and throwback-able – grenades, sniper rifles and more. All are usable against the 17 different types of enemies the action-packed shooter serves up. The PSVR 2 edition also support eye tracking, foveated rendering and headset haptic feedback.
This isn’t the only physical launch Perp Games has planned. Its roster of VR games is continually growing with the likes of Hubris, Wanderer: Fragments of Fate, MADiSON VR, and Mixture all listed as coming soon.
