Perp Games has a long history in VR, publishing a multitude of titles in physical form for PlayStation VR. That’s going to continue into the future with the launch of a new event next week. It’ll host a PSVR2 showcase on Monday, 30th Jan, at 6pm UTC, promising new announcements and several surprises.
YouTuber PSVR with Parole over on IGN will host the showcase. While every other VR headset has digital-only content, PSVR – and soon PSVR2 – is the only one to offer traditional, disc-based games. Thus, providing a unique niche within the VR market, perfect for those VR fans who love collecting physical content.
There’s no indication of which titles will be shown at the PSVR2 showcase. But, you can at least take a hopeful pick from all the official PlayStation VR 2 launch games that have been confirmed.
Perp Games’ official website already lists several games with release dates:
- Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate — February 22, 2023
- Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder — March 3, 2023
- Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition — April 7, 2023
- Song in the Smoke: Rekindled — Coming Soon
- Synth Riders Remastered — Coming Soon
Sony will launch PlayStation VR 2 on 22nd February for £529.99 GBP ($549.99 USD). Boasting a 4K OLED display, the PSVR 2 has inside-out tracking, facial haptics, eye tracking, and brand-new Sense controllers to immerse players in the experience. And don’t forget you’ll need a PlayStation 5, with the consoles now, thankfully, easier to come by.
