What a year it has been for VR gaming! We might be in the last few weeks of 2024 but there are still plenty of new titles to look forward to. So here are all the new VR games arriving in December.

Spatial Ops To Feature 2-hour Mixed Reality Campaign
Resolution Games is currently working on two upcoming XR titles (that we know of). There’s the highly anticipated Dungeons & Dragons, and then there’s the mixed reality game, Spatial Ops. Revealing further details regarding the latter, the studio has launched pre-orders on Meta Quest as well as confirming Spatial Ops’ single-player options.

Traditionally, August has always been the slowest month for videogames. Everyone’s outside enjoying the summer weather, going on holiday and generally doing stuff. Plus it’s right before the peak holiday season when all the major titles plan their rollout. Even so, some studios see this as an opportunity, knowing they have less competition. So here are all the new VR games arriving in August.
Skydance’s Behemoth Launch Date Slams Down in November
The latter half of 2024 is going to be littered with some exciting VR titles for all platforms. One of which is Skydance’s Behemoth, with an official launch date now confirmed for November.
Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator Out Now on Apple Vision Pro
Around the same time that Apple launched the Vision Pro, Owlchemy Labs made its own announcement. Revealing that its popular VR games Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator were being ported to Vision Pro. The wait is now over, with Apple headset owners able to dive into the colourful worlds VR owners have been enjoying for years.
Are We Going to Get an Arizona Sunshine 3?
Vertigo Games released Arizona Sunshine 2 just before Christmas 2023, making it one of the must-have VR games of the festive season. Following on from the hugely popular 2016 original, this sequel has met with similar success, receiving positive reviews across all supported platforms. So with that in mind, is Arizona Sunshine 3 on the cards?
Retropolis 2: Never Say Goodbye Out Now for PSVR 2
May has been a little light on new PSVR 2 games. So as the end of the month nears, it’s great to see the arrival of Retropolis 2: Never Say Goodbye for Sony’s headset. This follows on from the VR adventure’s arrival for Meta Quest only a week ago.
Tank Arena: Ultimate League Blasts Onto Quest Tomorrow
There aren’t many VR games dedicated to tank warfare, with one of the best being Rebellion’s Battlezone (2017). In more recent years Korean developer STOIC Entertainment has taken up the mantle releasing World War Toons: Tank Arena VR in 2022. This week the studio returns to the battlefield once more with Tank Arena: Ultimate League.
Batman & Alien Signal a Meta Quest 3 Upgrade
Meta’s Quest 2 was released in 2020 and in comparison to its predecessor has aged exceedingly well. Even with the launch of Quest 3 in 2023, Quest 2’s relevance within the VR industry has stayed strong. In part helped by a permanent price reduction to $200. However, with new hardware comes new creative opportunities for developers, creating bigger, more elaborate VR experiences. While Meta has maintained it’ll support Quest 2 for years to come, the time for a Meta Quest 3 is rapidly gaining steam.
DO NOT OPEN Sequel OVRDARK Emerges onto Steam This Week
Nox Noctis is gearing up for its next horror game launch. Called OVRDARK: A Do Not Open story, the title initially arrived for PSVR 2 back in March. A Steam launch was expected around that same time but instead got pushed back. Now the wait is over, with OVRDARK hitting Steam this week.
