We all like a good deal, getting maximum value for our cash but some are so big it makes you wonder what’s wrong. That was definitely the thought process when Meta permanently slashed the price of Quest Pro by $500 at the beginning of March. Nothing else is going to beat that but here is some other VR savings XR Source has found.
Hardware
Meta Quest Pro
Let’s start with that big news, Meta’s huge reduction on the Quest Pro – only four months after launch no less. This all-singing, all-dancing, mixed reality flagship is packed with tech, originally released for £1,499.99 GBP ($1,499.99 USD).
However, even with face and eye tracking, VR and AR capabilities and more, Quest Pro has struggled. February saw limited-time deals on the headset and now it is even cheaper, at $999.99, quite a shocking turn of events.
The discount isn’t available worldwide just yet. In the US and Canada, the deal is live but for the rest of the world where Meta Quest Pro is supported, the offer begins on 15th March. So don’t buy the headset before then!
Meta Quest 2
It wasn’t purely Quest Pro that got the discount treatment, so did the 256GB Quest 2! Meta increased its original £399 price last summer to £499, but now it has gone back down by £70.
There’s no change on the 128GB model, so now there’s only a £30 difference between the two editions. Doubling the internal memory for that small amount should mean Meta selling more.
The Quest 2 256GB deal is live now in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK, and the US.
Or for an even cheaper deal, Amazon US has refurbished Quest 2 128GB for $349.99 or refurbished Quest 2 256GB for $399.99.

HTC VIVE XR Elite
HTC’s direct competitor to the Quest Pro, the VIVE XR Elite is still available to pre-order for £1,299.00. Originally, the pre-order window was open until 15th February. Now it’s the end of April, giving you plenty of time to get those five free games.
Those games are Green Hell VR, Les Mills Bodycombat, Unplugged: Air Guitar, Figmin XR and Glimpse.
