Endless liminal spaces like Scared by Squares and Pools VR have become increasingly popular. Whilst roomscale gaming from the likes of Unseen Diplomacy 2 and Eye of the Temple sees gamers explore their play space in new ways. Combining both of these elements is Hotel Infinity, coming to Meta Quest and PSVR 2 in November.

An Infinite Mind Bender

Unveiled during the summer by Studio Chur (Manifold Garden), Hotel Infinity tasks players with exploring a mysterious hotel. A hotel where no two rooms are ever quite the same, you’ll be able to explore the establishment’s decadent design via winding hallways, portals and lifts, all in a bid to discover new areas.

All of which you do with your own two feet, no controller-based movement or teleportation needed. Hotel Infinity works within a 2m by 2m (6 ft 7 in. by 6 ft 7 in.) play space, cleverly twisting and repositioning to contain all your movements in that area. That being said, to ensure full accessibility, Studio Chur does include both seated and standing options alongside artificial locomotion.

This isn’t some walking simulator either. There will be plenty of mystifying puzzles to solve with both your hands and feet. Leave no room unturned as you discover the hotel’s secrets.
