Triangular Pixels has announced that Unseen Diplomacy 2 will launch in Meta and Steam Early Access this week. The follow up to the acclaimed 2016 espionage VR experience, the Early Access period will give players the first opportunity to play the game and share their feedback. All the while Triangular Pixels will continue to refine, polish, and expand the experience.

Unseen Diplomacy 2 is a Comedic Stealth Game
In Unseen Diplomacy 2, players take on the role of a spymaster and lead their own elite agency. But this isn’t simply a management sim: you’ll be getting your hands dirty! Set in a 1990s inspired retro-futuristic setting, you’ll be armed with strictly analog technology as you sneak around enemy bases to steal valuable intel and resources, sabotage their plans, and then successfully escape without being noticed.
To complete your missions you’ll have to physically crawl, roll under lasers, and dodge side to side while utilising gadgets like wire clippers, and wearing disguises. To ensure every mission and campaign feels fresh, Triangular Pixels uses a new system that not only procedurally generates levels, but also tailors the experience based on the space you have and the actions you take.
The agency management element adds a strategic layer to the game. You’ll recruit new agents, manage resources, and deploy operatives on missions. Depending on the choices the players make, the road to success varies from playthrough to playthrough.
Unseen Diplomacy 2 Early Access
According to Triangular Pixels, Unseen Diplomacy 2 is already complete. So why Early Access? The studio state that they have decided to launch Unseen Diplomacy 2 in Early Access to gather community feedback, refine mechanics, balance difficulty, and polish the experience across different playstyles and spaces.
The Early Access period is expected to last a short time. The studio plans for the 1.0 launch to expand the game with more missions, multiple endings, and varied challenges. Along with improvements to accessibility, performance and balance.
“We’re so proud of how far Unseen Diplomacy 2 has come, but we want to make sure to give players the best, most polished experience we can,” said Katie Goode at Triangular Pixels. “Launching the game in Early Access gives us the chance to share the game with our community sooner, gather feedback, and keep making it bigger and more immersive as we move towards full release.”

Future Plans
Unseen Diplomacy 2 will launch as an Early Access title for Meta Quest and PCVR on 25th September, 2025. The game will be priced at $15.99 USD / €14.99 EUR / £12.99 GBP. As stated above, the Early Access period is expected to be short, but no specific date has been offered for the 1.0 edition.
Post-launch, you can expect Triangular Pixels to continue to support Unseen Diplomacy 2. The original title was arguably the studio’s greatest success in VR to date, as such there’s obviously high expectations for this sequel.
