If you love VR but want physical copies of games then PSVR 2 is your only option. Not every game gets a solid copy you can hold but thanks to Perp Games many do. The publisher recently revealed that the sci-fi adventure Hubris is getting a physical edition for PSVR 2 next month.
Cyborn’s Hubris is already well known as one of the best-looking games in VR. But with the incoming launch of Meta Quest 3, the studio is using the improved hardware to upgrade the experience. Just like Red Matter 2, Hubris is getting a range of visual Quest 3 enhancements to make its virtual world come alive.
Due to the technical complexities of virtual reality, games don’t always look as amazing as their PC or console cousins. That’s not to say they can’t, it’s just that rendering for two eyes whilst maintaining a 90Hz refresh rate is hard on any system, so compromises have to be made. Even so, VR developers have made great strides in visual quality, and there are some truly stunning titles out there. So here is XR Source’s selection of the best-looking VR games out there.
When it comes to truly gorgeous gaming in virtual reality there are only a few titles on that list. Games like Red Matter 2, Half-Life: Alyx and Hubris. The latter arrived for PC VR headsets at the end of 2022, offering a stunning sci-fi adventure. Now it is the turn of PlayStation VR 2 and Meta Quest 2, with Hubris out today for both devices.
