3R Games’ Besiege VR has been on the radar for some time now. Originally expected to launch back in May, the game obviously suffered a delay. Earlier this month, the developers confirmed that the game would in fact launch in July 2025, and now – scraping the wire as close as they can – Besiege VR has launched on Meta Quest within that timeframe.
Besiege, But Not as You Know It
Besiege made its debut on PC back in 2020, as a traditional flatscreen game. It was a huge success, with over 4 million copies sold on PC. Couple that over 45,000 ‘overwhelmingly positive’ reviews on Steam, and you can see why 3R Games have faith in the product.
The game sets you with the task of constructing weapons of destruction, and taking down enemy forts and castles in the most efficient way possible. Or maybe the most elaborate, least efficient way, if you simply like playing. Besiege‘s deep construction mechanics, realistic physics, and pure creative mayhem all attributed to the game’s success.
Now, with intuitive VR controls, haptic feedback, and immersive 3D audio, Besiege VR invites you to step into your war machines and experience their full destructive scale like never before.
Besiege Launched on Meta Quest
Besiege VR has now officially launched on Meta Quest, bringing the acclaimed physics-based building sandbox into VR. Rebuilt from the ground up by 3R Games Besiege VR adapts the original to be a fully featured VR experience with a 55-level campaign.
The VR edition of the game is also compatible with the flatscreen version. If you’ve been playing the original Besiege, many of your constructions will be available to port into the VR edition. 3R Games has been keen to point out that not all devices will transfer, presumably due to hardware limitations of the Meta Quest devices, but most player won’t experience any such problems. Only the most elaborate creations will be unavailable.
Besiege VR is now available on Meta Quest headsets priced at $19.99 USD. If you had already pre-ordered the game, your Besiege VR pre-order bonuses are lying in wait!

About 3R Games
Besiege VR developers 3R Games have been going pretty hard on VR of late. Following the success of Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street, which to date has sold over 350,000 copies, came Cave Crave. That latter title was well received, despite stiff competition from Tunnels.
Where 3R Games are set to go next is not yet known. The studio continued to support Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street long after launch, and has promised the same for Cave Crave. Exactly what is coming down the line for Besiege VR is yet to be revealed. And of course, what VR is coming next from the studio?
