A Late Besiege

Besiege VR was originally announced back in April, with a launch slated for May. That never occurred, with 3R Games not revealing any details behind the delay. However, pre-orders were opened at the same time, giving fans of the flatscreen version time to prepare for the anticipated release.

Besiege VR Gameplay Details

As mentioned, Besiege VR is a physics-based building sandbox where you can build your own wonderous medieval war machine. A full remake reimagining the PC classic as a fully interactive VR experience, it features a 55-level single-player campaign. Featuring over 70 unique parts, you can let your ideas run rife, connecting cannons, wings, wheels and more into tanks, mechs, whatever you want!

These machines can then be used to destroy enemies and fortresses, reducing them to rubble. You can even bring most of your PC legacy builds into VR. 3R Games does warn, however, that: “due to the hardware limitations of the Meta Quest headset (compared to PCs, not all machine sizes and features will be 1:1 transferable to VR).”

Launch Details

Besiege VR now has a confirmed launch date of 31st July 2025. With only a couple of weeks to go until launch, there’s still time to make use of the pre-order bonus the studio is offering.

Priced at $19.99USD/£15.99 GBP, if you purchase Besiege VR for Meta Quest early, you’ll receive an exclusive DLC pack featuring four unique machine skin sets. 3R Games notes that these skins will never be sold separately. So if you like custom skins that’ll make your war machines stand out on the battlefield, there’s not long to decide.
