Just over two years ago, indie developer Zach Tsiakalis-Brown released the highly anticipated Vertigo 2 on SteamVR. Following on from the success of the original, the sequel was equally revered for its immersive action-adventure gameplay. Tomorrow, it’s about to get even bigger. A full DLC story expansion called Vertigo 2: Into The Aether is set for launch.

Vertigo 2 Final DLC

Continuing the story from Vertigo – although you don’t need to have played it – Vertigo 2 sees you trying to escape Quantum Reactor VII. In your way are deadly android security forces and all manner of bizarre alien flora and fauna trying to kill you.

Vertigo 2 fans may remember back in late 2023 when Tsiakalis-Brown released the ‘Bottomless Update’. At the time, the developer said this would be the only major content update for the game. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case with Vertigo 2: Into The Aether, adding a huge array of content.

The DLC narrative begins shortly after Vertigo 2 ends. You play as Brian, who’s about to attempt a daring rescue mission against the Void Delegation. To help in this endeavour, Into the Aether has two new tools: the Void Grappler and Void Deflector. The Void Grappler is a movement upgrade, able to attach to most surfaces, letting you swing around in any environment. Whilst the Void Deflector can deflect attacks with precise timing, accumulating energy for a counterattack.
