Back in December, Blue Brain Games released its immersive puzzle game The House of Da Vinci VR. Meta Quest and PCVR fans loved the game’s innovative puzzles intertwined with its Renaissance-era narrative. Soon, PSVR 2 owners will be able to enjoy the puzzle experience, landing on Sony’s headset in a couple of weeks.

A Da Vinci History
Originally, The House of Da Vinci was a flatscreen title released by Blue Brain Games in 2017. Since then, a couple of sequels have been released, the most recent being 2022’s The House of Da Vinci 3. And just like Fireproof Games with its hit puzzle series The Room, Blue Brain saw the potential of its franchise in VR.
Rather than a simple, straight port to VR headsets, the studio rebuilt the game from the ground up. Thus allowing them to create a fully reimagined, native, immersive experience designed exclusively for VR.
“We’re letting players step into history,” said Peter Kubek, co-founder and Creative Director at Blue Brain Games in a statement. “From the streets of Renaissance Florence, to the heart of Leonardo’s workshop, every visual, soundscape and interactive invention has been crafted from the ground up to pull you into the world of this genius. The PS VR2’s advanced haptics and intuitive motion controls let players truly feel like Leonardo’s apprentice – manipulating his machines, solving puzzles, and uncovering secrets like never before.”
A Da Vinci Mystery
As the name suggests, players journey to 16th-century Florence, the home of Leonardo da Vinci. Rather than stepping into the shoes of the famous inventor, painter, engineer, scientist, architect and theorist, players instead assume the role of his most gifted apprentice. However, your master has disappeared, and it’s only by solving his puzzles that you can uncover the truth.
In this role, you must navigate his workshop, solving an assortment of mechanical puzzles. Each more elaborate than the last, Blue Brain has created historically inspired riddles, lockboxes, and escape room scenarios. Furthermore, a hint of the fantastical is also at play, where players can bend time with a mysterious gauntlet.
Launch Details
The House of Da Vinci VR is coming to PlayStation VR2 on Thursday, 1st May 2025. The game is now available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store.
