Petricore has announced that Mythic Realms is heading to Meta Quest headsets next month. This mixed-reality (MR) game will see you taking on slimes and skeletons with a slash of your sword in your own living room.

What is Mythic Realms?
Mythic Realms is a roguelite RPG set in a high fantasy world. The game has been built from the ground-up for Meta Quest headsets. Specifically, the use of their MR functionality.
Mythic Realms will allow players to experience their own adventure in the real world. Using MR, the game blends your real environment with a fantasy universe. Teeming with unique creatures, you’ll be dueling goblins and facing fire-breathing dragons as they climb on your furniture or break through your walls. Despite the game bringing your environment into the action, you’ll still quest through a variety of unique environments like caves and forests.
What’s more, it sounds like a pretty familiar RPG experience. Of course, you’ll battle foes. We’ve mentioned that. But you’ll also gather resources, unlock new weapons, and improve your character. Being a roguelite, you’ll return home after each run. Here, you can expand your kingdom with each play session. Developers Patricore promise that every run is unique, letting you choose how you want to play the adventure.
Mythic Realms Release Date
The roguelite fantasy RPG will launch on 13th March, 2025. Mythic Realms will be playable on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro. The game is available to pre-order now on the Meta Store with a 10% bonus discount for $17.99 USD / £13.99 GBP. After the discount period, the game will be priced at $19.99 / £15.99.
Who are Petricore?
Petricore is a US based studio which launched in 2015. The team currently comprises of nine staff, according to the studio’s official website, who have mostly developed client projects thus far. In terms of AR and VR, this includes ports of Sam & Max: This Time it’s Virtual, Overbeast for smartphones, and a Burger King AR app.
Mythic Realms, it seems, is the studio’s first original IP.
