Bloodious Games’ MADiSON VR was due to arrive in a few short days. However, publisher Perp Games has just announced that the psychological horror has new been pushed back, seeing MADiSON VR launch in March.
Originally, Bloodious Games and Perp Games had planned for a Halloween 2023 launch. Always fitting for a horror game. However, the teams announced that they didn’t want to rush the release, and therefore pushed the launch into 2024. As for today’s delay, there’s been no mention as to why the PSVR 2 and PCVR editions have been moved on a month.
However, Perp Games has provided a few more details regarding both the digital and physical copies of MADiSON VR.
The Horror of MADiSON VR
MADiSON VR‘s new digital release date will be 23rd March 2024, with the PSVR 2 version priced at £29.99 GBP/ €34.99 EUR/ $34.99 USD. The boxed ‘Cursed Edition’ for PlayStation will follow on 12th April 2024 priced at £34.99 / €39.99 / $39.99. It’s also worth noting that PS5 owners who bought the original flat-screen MADiSON will be able to purchase the VR version at a 20% discount.
Perp Games says: “You qualify for discount if you purchased the original flat screen MADiSON PS5 before 1st March 2024. You have until 29th April 2024 to redeem the 20% off.”
As for the PCVR edition. Pricing and upgrade path details will be unveiled at a later date.
MADiSON VR is the long-awaited VR port of 2022’s psychological horror MADiSON. In it you play as Luca, who wakes up locked in a dark room, their hands soaked in blood. You discover that a demon that has forced him to continue a gory ritual started decades ago, making him commit abominable acts. The game then tasks you with finishing this sinister ceremony.
