Asgard’s Wrath 2 for Meta Quest headsets is almost a month old. In that time the game has already seen one patch arrive, enhancing the screen resolution and the distance multiplier for Quest 3. But that’s not all for Meta’s newest gaming headset. Recently, Oculus Studios producer Mike Doran revealed there’s more to come for Asgard’s Wrath 2 on Quest 3.
In a recent Reddit posting Doran detailed what’s included in the next patch, due at the end of January. Alongside “a bunch of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality of life improvements” further additions include:
- A toggle will be implemented to disable the Belt UI (Hold LS)
- A toggle will be implemented to disable the last used consumable shortcut. (Click LS)
- Fixes for progression issues around the first Spearmaiden encounter, visiting Tanuu out of the intended order, and certain quests that wouldn’t advance while playing in a non-English language.
Quest 3 visuals
Further down the line, Oculus Studios and Sanzaru Games plan on implementing a range of new features. The most notable is the high-resolution pack for Quest 3, treating owners to an even more visually immersive experience.
- Support for multiple save games
- Cosmic Conquest refinements
- A Quest 3 exclusive high resolution texture pack
- Increased Audio Quality
If you’ve already bought a Meta Quest 3 then you own a copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2. The game is bundled free with every purchase, just remember to activate it before the offer ends on 27th January.
Oculus Studios also wants community feedback to help further refine the game. “We continue to investigate a bunch of other possibilities based on feedback from you guys and our own assessment of the game,” Doran adds.
Released on 15th December, Asgard’s Wrath 2 continues the story from the Oculus Rift original. Become a god and chase the mischievous Loki across the universe to ensure he doesn’t upset the fragile balance.
