Battle Loki in Meta Quest Exclusive Asgard’s Wrath 2

The past few months have seen an impressive selection of games arrive for Quest headsets. LEGO Bricktales, Stranger Things VR and Assassin’s Creed Nexus are just a few worth mentioning. Today sees the arrival of another highly anticipated title, Meta Quest exclusive Asgard’s Wrath 2.

Originally unveiled during the Quest Gaming Showcase, this is a sequel to the Oculus Rift original from 2019. There’s a good chance many haven’t played it, which makes Asgard’s Wrath 2 arrival on Quest even more special. The fact that Sanzary Games has managed to squeeze the game into Quest 2 is impressive, with all the action and godly abilities intact.

Fighting for Asgard

A single-player action adventure, Asgard’s Wrath 2 continues the story from the first game. You were a Norse god who could possess mortal humans and wield incredible magical abilities to solve puzzles, all under the guidance of Loki. However, Loki being the untrustworthy god he is betrays and imprisons you. You are then freed from your prison by the Weavers of Fate, who turn you into a Cosmic Guardian. Now you’re tasked with finding and putting a stop to Loki’s plans before he upsets the balance of the universe.

Set against an ancient Egyptian backdrop, you must use your incredible powers to gods and monsters alike in your quest for Loki. Being a god, you can possess unique mortal heroes to explore open worlds and solve puzzles. You can also convert loyal animals into your own warrior followers that’ll come to your aid in human form.

Reportedly “packed with over 60 hours of cinematic storytelling” Asgard’s Wrath 2 should keep most players entertained during the winter months.

In the run-up to today’s launch, pre-order bonuses were available for the game. These included in-game gear and even a free digital copy of the original Asgard’s Wrath for PC VR. If you’re still after a deal then you can grab a free copy of Asgard’s Wrath 2 if you buy Meta Quest 3 (either model). The offer is available until 27th January 2024.
