It has been a bumper December for PSVR 2 owners with the likes of Vertigo 2 and Arizona Sunshine 2 arriving. Adding to that list in a very un-festive way is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2. From Steel Wool Studios, the latest instalment in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise is a PSVR 2 exclusive.
The only horror game to arrive for PSVR 2 this month, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 once again puts you in that dreaded pizzeria. Famous for its mini-game jump scares, Help Wanted 2 will have those in plenty of supply. The studio has confirmed that it will feature six categories of minigames, Backstage, Fazcade, Staff Only, Food Prep, and Ticket Booth. If you only counted five then well done! The sixth one is slightly more special, featuring new VR versions of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location‘s games.
Don’t pull a Fasbear
“Help Wanted 2 drops the player into dozens of intense, terrifying jobs offered by Fazbear Entertainment in order to discover which part of the Fazbear family suits them best,” says Ray McCaffrey, Executive Producer, Steel Wool Studios. “Whether it’s preparing food for guests, glamming up the animatronic stars, fixing technical issues with attractions, performing first aid in emergency situations, or manning the DJ booth, there’s a long term career path for all who are interested! The core of the game is designed to be replayable through randomized, dynamic challenges – keep up, or face termination.”
As this is a PSVR 2 game there are plenty of headset-specific additions. These include eye tracking in the Mystic Hippo minigame. And then there’s the DuelSense haptic feedback, and 3D audio to ramp up the atmosphere!
If you’re a big fan of the series then it’s highly likely that you’ve prepared by going to the cinema. Five Nights at Freddy’s recently graced the big screen after many years in development.
