Alvo Out Now for PSVR 2

The end of August saw the arrival of two major tactical shooters for PSVR 2. Firewall Ultra and Crossfire: Sierra Squad arrived within a week of each other, offering very different military first-person shooters (FPS). Today, PSVR 2 owners have a third choice, in the form of Alvo which is out now.

Developed by OutsideIn Entertainment, Alvo is an online multiplayer with loads of gameplay modes and guns to unlock. While Firewall Ultra focuses on team-base rounds and Crossfire: Sierra Squad is all about arcade action, Alvo is more your traditional FPS. You have already played in, in fact, as the game is already available for the original PSVR, Quest 2 and Pico headsets.

As mentioned, the title sports quite a few gameplay modes, including Free For All, Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy and even co-op Zombies. So there’s plenty to keep players entertained if they like swapping between.

While Alvo looks fairly realistic, OutsideIn Entertainment has traded ultra-realism for faster-paced gameplay. So you can enjoy running around maps shooting enemies rather than having to worry about a finely tuned strategy.

You will, of course, be able to earn XP and unlock a new kit thanks to the progression system. Rank up by playing any of the gameplay modes whilst completing the daily and weekly challenges.

Thankfully, because the game supports so many platforms, there’s cross-platform support. So players around the world should be able to connect and get into matches easily. The developer has previously confirmed that Alvo for PSVR 2 will retail for $19.99 USD, or it’s a $5 upgrade if you already own the PSVR version.
