Best known for its hit VR games Moss and Moss: Book II, developer Polyarc has officially announced its next project. And it couldn’t be more different, taking its delightful Moss characters and putting them in a competitive multiplayer game. Called Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss, further details are set to be released at the end of August.

Moss developer Polyarc initially teased its new VR project back in March, stating that it would be a MOBA-style game based on the IP. “It’s apparent observing the community of players out there and receiving some of our own feedback that there are a lot of gamers in VR who are looking for and want to play more competitive multiplayer games,”  said Tam Armstrong, co-founder and CEO, Polyarc, at the time. “We are excited about this opportunity, as VR offers interesting considerations for multiplayer games.

The team hasn’t released too many details regarding Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss, other than the title. The official announcement takes place on 29th August 2023 with a special showcase. It’ll consist of a first-look trailer, gameplay footage and developer talks, so there should be plenty of information available.

Several pieces of artwork have already been released, highlighting some of the potential characters players will be able to fight as. Series protagonist Quill is there, of course, and so are many of her woodland creature friends and allies. They’re all geared up with various weapons, some have crossbows, and others wield huge swords alongside magic bearers.

There’s no official release window for Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss at the moment. However, you can find it listed on App Lab with support for Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro.
