Virtuix has been in the business of omnidirectional treadmills for quite a few years now, with its flagship product being the Omni One. Up until now, the Omni One has only been compatible with Pico headsets – supplied with a customised Pico 4U. But now, thanks to a collaboration with Meta, Virtuix has launched the ‘Omni One for Quest’, supporting both Quest 2 and Quest 3/3S.

What is the Omni One?
The Omni One is an omnidirectional treadmill designed to make your VR experience as immersive as possible within a controlled space. That means players are able to physically walk, run, crouch, and jump in 360 degrees. The system works by using special shoes and a concave base, in addition to a harness, so that these natural motions are accurately represented in supported apps and games.
While roomscale technology limits you to the size of your play space, devices like the Omni One expand virtual worlds even further.
Meta Quest on Omni One
The Omni One for Meta Quest will be “Made for Meta” certified, so it’ll feature on the Meta store alongside other products from companies such as bHaptics and Kiwi. That certification also means the setup should be straightforward, allowing players to jump into a variety of games.
When it comes to game support, the Omni One can be used with titles such as The Boys, Cave Crave, Hubris, Sweet Surrender and many more.

If you’re looking to enhance your VR gaming experience with the Omni One, it is available now via Virtuix’s website. Tech like this isn’t cheap, though, with the treadmill retailing for $2,595 USD / €2,995 EUR / £2,795 GBP. As an early incentive, Virtuix will be offering a limited-time gaming bundle with each purchase, featuring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City, Men in Black: Most Wanted, Exoshock, and Zero Caliber 2.
