Samsung Galaxy XR officially launched today in the US and South Korea, offering next-generation immersion for $1799 USD. Just like its more expensive rival, the Apple Vision Pro, the Galaxy XR headset isn’t focusing on VR gaming. However, thanks to its Android XR operating system and support for OpenXR, there’s no shortage of games available on day one. So, here are all the games we know about.

Samsung Galaxy XR in brief
As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy XR is available now, but only in the US and South Korea. No other countries have been confirmed as yet. If you are in those two coveted locations, you can order the headsets online or pop into a Samsung Experience Centre. You may also want to pick up a pair of controllers, which are sold separately for $250, as most of the games we’re about to mention will need them.
The standalone headset features 4K (3552×3840) micro-OLED displays, hand tracking, eye tracking, face tracking, an active depth sensor, and fully automatic motorised interpupillary distance (IPD) adjustment. All powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor. And rather than an onboard battery, the Galaxy XR features an external, tethered battery that lasts around 2-2.5 hours depending on use. Or connect it to the mains for indefinite use.
Galaxy XR Launch Games
Currently, there are over 30 games and apps that have been ported to Galaxy XR, many you’ve likely played before. Popular titles like Arizona Sunshine 2, Cubism, Demeo, FitXR, Green Hell VR and Job Simulator are all on the list.
There are also a couple of exclusives nestled away in there, Inside [JOB] from Owlchemy Labs and Enigmo, a spatial 3D puzzle game from Fortell Games. Likely, the Galaxy XR won’t have too many exclusives, as the price puts the headset out of reach of many consumers. But as Google has collaborated on its creation, the tech giant may swing a few more games its way.
More Games!
So we know the Samsung Galaxy XR is a premium product looking to compete with the likes of Apple’s Vision Pro. And at that level, enterprise use cases are far more attractive and profitable than competing in the gaming sphere.
But that doesn’t mean to say developers aren’t going to sit back and not support the platform. Especially if it’s easy to port to. As shown above, there are some great VR and mixed reality games available, and there’s more to come. Psytec Games has confirmed that its excellent action game Titan Isles is set to arrive in 2026.
Expect to hear more ports announced as we move into the new year.
