Incuvo Confirms Green Hell VR Co-op for 2024

Green Hell VR Expansion

Posted on: 11 Dec 2023

Last week VR developer Incuvo released a rather tasty DLC expansion for Green Hell VR. Doubling the size of the game – for free – is certainly a boon for fans. But it’s not the update they’re after. As previously reported, the studio teased a plan followed by confirmation of a co-op mode earlier this year. Now there’s a bit more info, with the unsurprising news that it’ll arrive in the new year.

Over on X, the official Green Hell VR account says that you’ll be able to bring a mate into the jungle with you in 2024. What we weren’t expecting was some actual footage, which you can see below. We knew that the upcoming mode would support up to four players but it’s nice to finally see it in action.

Green Hell VR Co-op

Green Hell VR has been a generally well-received survival game, supporting Meta Quest, PSVR 2 and PCVR headsets. Like a lot of co-op additions, the mode should breathe new life into the experience, especially if you’ve rinsed it clean.

It is worth mentioning that the co-op announcement has only mentioned Meta Quest, PSVR 2 and Viveport platforms. Just like Spirits of Amazonia Part 1, the Steam edition has been left out. The reason for this is most likely due to the Steam version being a separate entity.

If you’re wondering when the co-op mode will arrive in 2024 then keep guessing. We would assume that Spirits of Amazonia Part 2 and Part 3 would arrive first, giving players as much content as possible to explore. Or we could be wrong, who knows? Spirits of Amazonia Part 1 is a free story prequel, with famous anthropologist Jake Higgins encountering the Mu’agi tribe.
