Earlier this summer, Steelkrill Studio and publisher Perp Games announced a new horror game in the form of Trenches VR. Now they’ve revealed a not-too-surprising release date, with a multi-platform launch set to occur at the end of October.

Time for War!
As the name implies, Trenches VR is set entirely within the grim, sprawling trenches of World War I. However, you won’t be fighting enemy soldiers in this survival horror. Nope, instead you’ll be desperately trying to find a way out whilst horrifying creatures lurk in the dark.
Trapped in this nightmarish hellscape, with seemingly never-ending claustrophobic trenches and ominous bunkers to explore, you’ll have to hide, sneak, and scavenge your way to safety. To help in this endeavour, you have your trusty Trench Whistle. This is both a blessing and a curse, as the sound will help you find freedom, and help the monsters find you.
Fail to escape, and you’ll be presented with an entirely new system of trenches. Each run is procedurally generated, so you never know what’s around each corner.

Trenches VR is scheduled to arrive for PSVR 2, Meta Quest and SteamVR headsets on 22nd October 2025. The game is available to wishlist now.
