World War 1 has been used as a backdrop for many a video game. The sheer chaos of the battlefield, the unrelenting mud and, of course, the infamous trenches. But few games have solely focused on the trenches and the terrifying atmosphere they would’ve created. Thanks to Steelkrill Studio and publisher Perp Games, that era will be brought to life with survival horror, Trenches VR.
On this page:

Surviving WW1 in the Trenches
Set to be a chilling WWI survival horror game for all major headsets, Trenches VR puts you in the shoes of a desperate soldier trying to escape a labyrinthine trench. However, it’s not bombs, bullets or clouds of mustard gas that you need to be wary of; a malevolent force haunts these trenches.
Offering up a claustrophobic and brutal environment, Trenches VR aims to immerse players in one of history’s darkest chapters. Each run through will be different as you navigate procedurally generated trench systems, evading the supernatural horror that hunts you. To help and hinder in this endeavour is your trusty Trench Whistle. Whilst it’ll help you find your way and escape, your enemies can also hear the whistle.
