Cosmorama launched turn-based action game Table Troopers as a Meta Quest Early Access title in July. After only two short months, the team is ready to hit the big leagues with an official launch this week.

Commanding the troops

The best way to describe Table Troopers is as a Worms-inspired strategy game for VR. Physics-driven, the strategy gameplay sees players control an unlikely assortment of troops, from crash test dummies to chickens. Surrounded by destructible scenery, players have an assortment of weapons at their disposal to wreak havoc on their opponents.

Players have the choice of enjoying the short solo campaign or going straight into a multiplayer match. Whichever mode they decide to play, both support VR and mixed reality viewing options. Become fully immersed in each and every battle or bring in the real-world environment for a more classic ‘tabletop-style’ experience.

Leaving Early Access

Table Troopers is set to leave Early Access for Meta Quest on 11th September. During the Early Access period, Cosmorama has managed to greatly expand the title’s gameplay thanks to community feedback.

Support has been added for four-player online matches, brand-new multiplayer battlefields are now available, as well as a new Trooper team, and an additional campaign chapter. Furthermore, the game is now localised in French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

Post launch roadmap

The team isn’t stopping there either. Detailing some of its post-launch roadmap, upcoming additions are to include more levels and campaign chapters, new weapons, additional Trooper teams, and customisation options for players to personalise their squads.
