What is Horror in the Library?
Horror in the Library is a Victorian steampunk horror board game set in 1895. A tile-based competitive card collecting game for 2 to 6 players, the narrative unfolds in the fabled mansion of the Mad Professor. Having invited you and other guests, you discover that he has invented a device that opens a doorway to a nightmarish world, where all manner of ghosts and foul creatures can wander through.
For players, the catch is that whoever can survive will inherit the Mad Professor’s fortune and all of his secrets.
Horror in the Library: The Invitation VR
Horror in the Library: The Invitation VR takes this base environment of the ghastly Victorian mansion and adds a VR twist. Players have to collect secrets while navigating a trap-filled mansion. Solving timed puzzles and piecing together the mysterious disappearance of Lady Hermione Elderoy and her husband. Naturally, you’ll eventually encounter the elusive Mad Professor, who is voiced by Wes Johnson (The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, 4 & 76, Star Trek: Legacy).
“Wes brings exactly the kind of intelligence and theatrical tension we needed for the Professor,” said Marcus Pullen, Managing Director of Blue Donut Studios in a statement. “His voice leads the player into mystery and madness, enriching every twist in the narrative.”
