Little Nightmares Set to Get a VR Edition

Tarsier Studios’ horror franchise Little Nightmares has a huge fan following, and soon the hit puzzle platformer series will get even bigger. At a recent special showcase event for the game, Bandai Namco made a surprise announcement: Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes.

Altered Echoes Details

Unveiling a very brief teaser trailer, Bandai Namco hasn’t mentioned much in the way of gameplay details. Simply stating, “Every step echoes closer… does this tune sound familiar, little ones?

What we do know is that Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes is being developed by Iconik Studio, the same team behind Hunting VR (2024) and King Pong (2021).

Currently, the release window and supported platforms are unknown, as well as how this VR edition might fit within the Little Nightmares universe.

All the Little Nightmares!

Most of the Little Nightmares showcase event was dedicated to its flatscreen offerings. Mainly, the upcoming launch of Little Nightmares III across consoles and PC. This third instalment is being developed by Supermassive Games (Until Dawn), originally revealed in 2023, with a launch date slated for 2024. A new date has been set, with Little Nightmares III arriving on 10th October 2025.

Additionally, a Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is set to arrive on the same date. This will add technical improvements like volumetric lightning and ray tracing, as well as gameplay changes like better checkpoint placement and gameplay helpers.
