Time-looping puzzle games are nothing new in VR. Titles like We Are One and The Last Clockwinder showcase inventive use of the mechanic, and soon another will join this cohort. CM Games – the team behind the survival adventure Into the Radius – have announced that their next VR title, UnLoop, will be arriving this September.

What is UnLoop?
A single-player, sci-fi-themed puzzle game, in UnLoop, you play as a spy infiltrating a remote space station. While conducting this secret mission, you find yourself trapped in a temporal anomaly, able to collaborate with copies of yourself.
Through this copying process, you have to solve ever increasingly difficult challenges that block your way. Ultimately, retrieving the critical data from the station and uncovering the source of the time loop.
This style of gameplay requires plenty of forward planning, ensuring all your copies perfectly synchronise, both in time and in space. Puzzles range from pulling levers at the same time, to throwing objects at your past/future self, and even going Mission Impossible and dodging a few lasers.

Launch Details
Originally announced in early 2024, UnLoop was born out of CM Games’ CM Labs program. This allows staff to turn their ideas into something real with help from the wider team, helping kickstart development.
And so this time-bending game is now nearing a multiplatform launch. Currently scheduled to arrive this September, UnLoop will support Meta Quest, PCVR and Pico headsets.
Who are CM Games
As mentioned, CM Games is most widely known for its highly popular franchise, Into the Radius. A survival shooter with horror elements, the first game launched in 2020 after a successful period in Early Access on Steam. A port to Meta Quest took place in 2022, with a sequel confirmed in 2023.
Into the Radius 2 then arrived as an Early Access title for PCVR in 2024, proving to be just as popular as its predecessor. Again, a Quest port brought the game to a wider audience in May 2025, with positive reactions from players.
