It’s not often you get to see the 1970s come to life in VR – Pixel Ripped 1978 being the last notable entry. But for those who love the disco era, Realcast is set to deliver an unusual VR experience. Hide the Corpse for Meta Quest has just arrived on SideQuest, offering a wacky demo for players.

What is Hide the Corpse?
As the name suggests you’re in a bit of a tricky situation. You’re in a house with a dead body – how it got there we don’t know. The idea is to hide it before the police arrive. But where do you conceal an adult body in this garish comedy adventure?
You have just four minutes to grab said evidence and hide it in furniture and objects you find around the environment. There are multiple locations to stash the body – some better than others – before the place is crawling with cops.
Funky fresh gameplay
Finding a suitable location is one thing, but as Hide the Corpse is a daft experience, so are the mechanics. With rag-doll physics, the body is easy to contort into wardrobes, cupboards, baths and more. However, it can just as easily fall out and scupper your chances of success.
“Hide the Corpse is all about unleashing your creativity and improvisation skills in a race against the clock,” says Clément Bigot, Creative Director at Realcast in a statement. “The unexpected is around every corner, making this game a blast to play and even more fun to watch others experience the chaos. We can’t wait to see what players think after playing the demo.”
Hide the Corpse on Kickstarter
You can download the Hide the Corpse demo from SideQuest now, to give you a taste of the gameplay. If you like it, Realcast is looking for Kickstarter backers. The crowd-funding campaign has a goal of $25,000 USD with tiers including the game starting from $18.
Hide the Corpse for Meta Quest doesn’t have a firm release date, at the moment. Realcast expects to launch the game in the latter half of 2024.
