Ikimasho’s Tiger Blade may have arrived on PSVR 2 first, but it seems the newer Meta Quest edition is getting all the attention. This week has seen the arrival of Quest’s third Challenges update, introducing more levels to the action-packed mode.
Challenges Update #3, the latest free content update for Tiger Blade adding two new levels to the game’s Challenges mode: Survival 2 and Twin’s Lair. As you’d expect, the Challenges Mode is designed to be the ultimate test of player skill, with players trying to ascend the leaderboards. In Survival 2, players have to dispatch all the enemies as fast as possible, trying not to get hit along the way.
Twin’s Lair is where players: “Ruthlessly demonstrate your mastery of sword and gun combat as you revisit bitter adversaries and settle old scores,” the studio notes.
Additionally, the update also adds Polish and Hungarian language options.
Meta Quest Tiger Blade Challenges
Tiger Blade’s Challenges Mode already features four other modes: Survival 1, Shooting Range: SMG, Agility and Shooting Range: Shotgun. You can’t access it straight away, however. It is only accessible if the ‘One Tough Kuki’ chapter in the main game has been completed.
Unfortunately for PSVR 2 owners, their edition of Tiger Blade doesn’t yet feature the Challenges modePublisher Big Sugar Games has said they’ll be coming to the platform at a later date. But there’s been no indication as to when.
Tiger Blade is a single-player game based on Korean neo-noir action cinema. “Set in an alternate Korea, you take the role of the deadliest assassin working for the Horangi chapter of the Tiger Clans. Ordered to steal a mysterious package from a rival chapter, you are shocked to find the object of the heist is, in fact, a tiger cub – thought extinct for a hundred years, the mythical creature is now desired by every gang in the city.” Players can run, gun and slice their way through enemies with plenty of adrenaline-fueled action.
Tiger Blade is available now for PSVR 2 and Meta Quest headsets.
