Meta Connect may only be a few weeks away but at the rate leaks are happening there might not be many surprises in store. The latest comes from a European store listing, detailing not only a new range of accessories but also the Meta Quest 3 512GB model pricing.
Officially, Meta has only announced that the Meta Quest 3 128GB will retail for $499 USD/£499 GBP/€499 EUR. It has been mentioned a larger storage model will be available without going into specifics. However, as spotted by Mixed, online store UnboundXR.eu has the 512GB model listed for €699. If this pricing is correct, then we’d expect $599 and maybe £599 for the US and UK. The question is, would you pay that much more for extra storage capacity?
Meta Quest 3 Accessories
In addition to the Meta Quest 3 models, four accessories are also listed. These are the:
- Meta Quest 3 Silicone Face Interface (Black) for €49.99
- Meta Quest 3 Carrying Case for €79.99
- Meta Quest 3 Elite Strap with Battery for €149.99
- Meta Quest 3 Charging Dock for €149.99
There’s a notable absence of the normal Elite Strap at the moment, although that may come in due course. What you may notice on the Elite Strap with Battery are the subtle design changes. Crucially, the side strap now has a hole for the USB-C charging port. That means you won’t be able to use your Quest 2 Elite Strap with Battery.
Meta Quest 3 will be a far more powerful, mixed reality headset in comparison to its forbear. Running on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon XR2+ chipset, it’ll have a new high-resolution display and pancake optics to make the device thinner and lighter. 40% slimmer than its predecessor in fact. It’ll also sport dual 4MP RGB colour cameras, a depth sensor and 10x more pixels in Passthrough.
