Hellsweeper VR, a new game from the creators of Sairento VR, Swag Soft, and publisher Vertigo Games, has today launched on PSVR 2 and Meta Quest 2. Players will be reincarnated in sin and appointed as Hellsweepers, the army of purgatory tasked with cleansing Hell of its rampant demons.

Your journey to Hell begins today. Engage in visceral combat with overwhelming movement control. Players can move with supernatural speed and precision, jumping, gliding and speeding through the teeming hordes of abominations. Each Hellsweeper is a unique creature. You must wield your weapons with deadly precision, master the powers of telekinesis, and unleash unimaginable powers to disembowel your enemies.

Cleave through an undead horde with a claymore. Snipe down flying foes from a distance with an antique rifle. Turn a foe into a pincushion by summoning a salvo of piercing ice shards. Fighting is your only chance of survival. Thankfully, there’s a wealth of opportunities for you to do so.

Furthermore, in the midst of the incessant chaos, you have a friend. The silent loyalty of your Hellhound, a faithful companion on your nightmarish journey. Good doggy.

The game offers numerous gameplay modes. These include roguelike mode, tower mode, and sandbox mode. Furthermore, you can choose to venture into the abyss alone or stand alongside other hell keepers in co-op mode.

Hellsweeper VR previously featured on XR Source as part of our most exciting VR games coming to Meta Quest 2. You can find out from today whether or not it lives up to the hype, as the game is now available for both Meta Quest 2 and PSVR 2. As with most Meta Quest 2 content, the game is also compatible with Meta Quest Pro.
