Firewall Ultra: Everything You Need to Know

There are lots of PSVR 2 games coming soon, with one of the most hotly anticipated being First Contact Entertainment’s Firewall Ultra. Whilst there’s already plenty that we know about the game when it comes to Firewall Ultra here are some further details you need to know.

An evolution of Firewall Zero Hour for PSVR, Firewall Ultra will enhance the old content whilst adding lots of new features. Old maps will be expanded upon, character models made to look the part in 4K HDR, new textures and more customisable weaponry. Cool new features like eye tracking will offer both graphical improvements as well as the ability to select weaponry in matches.

What is the Firewall Ultra Release Date?

According to the official PlayStation Twitter account, Firewall Ultra is currently slated for a late 2023 launch.

What is the Firewall Ultra price?

First Contact Entertainment hasn’t confirmed a price for Firewall Ultra at the moment. However, most PSVR 2 games tend to be around $30-$40 USD. So expect the shooter to be towards the upper end of that scale.

Does Firewall Ultra use the Aim Controller?

The PlayStation Aim Controller was designed for use with the PSVR’s tracking system, which included an external PS Camera. As such, the Aim controller won’t work with either the PS5 or the PSVR 2.

Instead, Firewall Ultra will utilise the new Sense controllers to provide realistic gun handling and feedback.

Is Firewall Ultra single player?

The game is designed as an online-only multiplayer. You’ll be able to play solo against bots but this will not offer any level or stat improvements.

Is Firewall Ultra on PC?

The short answer is no. Just like its predecessor Firewall Zero Hour, this sequel will be a PSVR 2 exclusive.
