Mighty Coconut’s Walkabout Mini Golf has become the most popular mini-golf game on Meta Quest 2. And soon PSVR 2 owners will be able to enjoy some hole-in-one goodness when Walkabout Mini Golf arrives in May.
Walkabout Mini Golf launched back in 2020 for Quest with a PC VR edition released in 2021. Featuring eight-core, 18-hole courses to play through, each with day and night settings, the game has garnered over 10,000 reviews on the Oculus Store whilst boasting an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating on Steam.

This isn’t an ordinary game of mini-golf either. The night mode is mode challenging, you can play solo or 1vs1 for a quick online match or create a private room with up to 8 players. Featuring realistic physics to satisfy even the most hardcore of golfers, Walkabout Mini Golf provides both Teleport and Smooth locomotion on top of the ability to fly over the course for a better view.
Whilst you’re trying to complete the main courses there are hidden golf balls to find which you can then use in your next game. Or why not practice at the driving range and putting green?
Walkabout Mini Golf also offers 10 DLC courses to purchase each with its own particular theme. How about mini-golf in Atlantis? Or around the iconic puzzle adventure Myst? The latest course, The Temple of Zerzura launches on 20th April.
Because the multiplayer aspect of Walkabout Mini Golf is so important, it’s completely cross-play compatible. So PSVR 2 players will be able to join matches with those on PC VR and Quest. The cross-buy support only works on the Meta Quest platform.
Walkabout Mini Golf hits PSVR 2 on 11th May 2023. Are you looking forward to a few rounds? Maybe it’ll overtake Pavlov as PSVR 2’s most popular game. Let us know in the comments below.
