Among all the endless Gorilla Tag knock-offs and roguelike adventures, you do still get the occasional VR game with an original idea. The latest comes from Skeldal Immersive in the form of the part narrative, part simulation and part party game, Actors. Coming to Meta Quest, Actors lets you quite literally become a Hollywood actor, or at least try to be.
On this page:

Become an Actor!
Described as the “ultimate VR movie actor simulator”, you take on the role of a normal working actor. You’re not a big-time star yet, as you’ve got a movie to create. The single-player narrative revolves around the production of a movie which is based on a comic book. You take on the role of Benedikt, who inherits a taxi from his grandfather that can drive all the way to Hell and back again.
Naturally, how you portray the role is up to you, committing to scenes in front of green screens, enacting physical altercations and more.
Gameplay
There are lots of elements to master in Actors. You’ll need to read the script and learn your lines, understand the director’s creative vision and remember your cues. And just like a real set, if you fluff your lines or mess up in any way, you’ll need to redo the scene until you get it right. At the end of each session, you can then rewatch the dailies to see your performance and where you can improve.
As mentioned, Actors is also a party game. In its Party Mode, you and a group of friends – Skeldal Immersive has yet to confirm how many this mode supports – can act in a scene, which can then be shared online!
Launch Details
Actors is currently slated for an Early Access release for Meta Quest headsets on 30th April 2026. No other VR platforms have been confirmed at this time.
