Free-to-play (F2P) games have become highly popular on Meta Quest, especially among younger gamers. Our buddies at 131XR have reviewed several F2P titles, always stating they’re worth a download, even just for a quick look. That’s all changed with Club Fight, with the review finding some games definitely aren’t worth your time on Meta Quest.

F2P Clubbing
Club Fight is part brawler and part social experience. As the name suggests, all the action takes place within a nightclub setting, where the idea is to fight anyone and everyone to gain as many points as possible.
You can fight and kill enemies with your bare hands, melee weapons like knives and baseball bats, or guns. Killing someone quickly with a gun will gain you a small amount of points. Whilst using a baseball bat takes longer but gains a higher point score.
And that is it. Fight, repeat and dole out some bloody carnage.
Club Fight Review
The biggest problem in Club Fight, as 131XR’s review finds, is that this whole process is rather shallow and repetitive. There’s only one location this all takes place in and the weapons spawn in the same places. So once you know where the shotgun or machine gun appears, it’s simply a race to get it and kill whomever is nearby.
While the game does encourage using the melee weapons, they largely become ineffective even with their points bonus. You wouldn’t bring a knife to a gun fight, now would you? Furthermore, there’s nothing to seemingly unlock. You’re given a free finishing move at the start, but the others available are behind a paywall – how etermax XR Studio is generating revenue for their F2P game.
Even though this is an 18-rated game due to the excessive violence, 131XR found most of the other players tended to be young teens. And that’s becuase this is the audience who’re playing F2P games the most.

Far Better Brawlers
While Club Fight is a fighing game definitely not worth your time, there are many that are. In our Best VR Fighting Games, titles such as Final Fury, Thrill of the Fight and Gorn 2 are just some of our most highly recommended. They might not be free, but you get what you pay for.
