Belgium based MoonMonster Studios have revealed that their upcoming comedic VR adventure, Space Control, is preparing for takeoff. The game is currently in development for Meta Quest and PC VR, and set to launch in Q2 2026. Ahead of that however, a Space Control demo is available now for all PC VR gamers.
What is Space Control?
In Space Control, you’ll be performing a variety of different jobs aboard a corporate space station. Saddled with a debt that isn’t actually yours, you’ll play through three episodes as you try to survive the demanding corporate world (or, rather, off-world). You won’t be alone however, as you’ll be accompanied by your alien crewmates Melody, Widgett and Zorgl. And then there’s you wrist-mounted AI companion, Sydra.
The comedic VR adventure begins as you’ve been abducted by intergalactic megacorporation, Glorpo Inc. Obviously, this corporation isn’t exactly above board. Some of the tasks you’ll be given include abducting new recruits, taking care of alien babies and cooking up some questionable space snacks.
The game also promotes a cast of voice actors who previously worked on titles such as The Legend of Zelda, Genshin Impact, Marvel Rivals and The Amazing Digital Circus. This includes Amanda Hufford, Sean Chiplock and Crystal Lee.
Demo Now Available
To celebrate the announcement of Space Control‘s impending launch, MoonMonster Studios is officially recruiting players with a new out-of-this-world demo. Available via Steam now, the demo gives you the chance to begin their career with Glorpo Inc. before the full game launches.
It’s not currently known whether save data will transfer over into the launch edition of the game. Additionally, no Meta Quest demo is currently available.
Space Control Set for Launch
The game has been inspired by shows like Rick & Morty and Futurama, as declared by MoonMonster Studios themselves. Of course, Rick & Morty have already had their own adventures in VR.
Space Control is set to launch in Q2 2026. The game will be available on both Meta Quest and PC VR headsets. No specific date is currently available.
