Parkour Labs, a first-person parkour platformer originally developed by SoyKhaler, is coming soon to PlayStation 5. The upcoming launch published under the PdPartid@games label will include optional PSVR 2 support meaning players can experience it on PlayStation 5 with traditional controls or step into virtual reality using PSVR2 and Sense controllers.

A Vaporwave Parkour Experience
Originally launched on PC via Steam in June 2024, Parkour Labs built its initial audience around fluid movement mechanics and a distinct vaporwave aesthetic. The Steam version, described as a ‘precision parkour platformer’, has earned a “Very Positive” user rating.
The core gameplay of Parkour Labs revolves around navigating surreal environments by performing jumps, slides and smooth directional changes. Rather than imposing strict time limits, the game emphasises mastery of movement and encourages you to explore levels at your own pace. All the while, you’ll be hunting for in-game artefacts and glitch effects that unlock additional secrets.
VR Support
With Parkour Labs, PSVR2 gameplay is optional, meaning the game functions primarily as a PlayStation 5 title with the VR experience layered on top for users who own the headset. Unlike some VR exclusives, the Parkour Labs VR mode retains the same level design and movement mechanics familiar from its flatscreen counterpart.
In VR, space perception and depth cues become more pronounced. This undoubtedly affects how you approach jumps and flow through levels. It remains unclear whether the VR implementation will include any additional features specific to VR motion controls beyond support for spatial look and head tracking.

Parkour Labs PS5 & PSVR2 Launch
The announcement of a Parkour Labs release for the PSVR2 signals a broader release strategy that spans multiple platforms. In addition to PlayStation 5 and PSVR2, the game is planned for release on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Meta Quest headsets. Additionally, the existing Steam version will receive a major update at the same time adding VR support and new scenarios.
Parkour Labs is set for release on PSVR 2 on 12th March, 2026. The Steam edition of the game is expected to be updated at the same time.
