Virtual Hunter, developed by Korpi Games and published by VRKiwi, has been widely acclaimed for its realistic hunting simulation for PC VR. A vast open world where red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, European hare, and more roam with authentic behaviour. And now, PSVR2 and Meta Quest players will also be able to enjoy Virtual Hunter.
Virtual Hunter Gameplay
This is not an arcade game. Virtual Hunter is a realistic simulation of hunting in VR. You must plan your hunt. Pack your gear, choose your weapon, set the time of day and head into the wild. You’ll be tracking animals, reading the wind, using callers and hunting towers, or simply following your intuition. Every hunt brings a fresh spawn and a new challenge.
Virtual Hunter aims to present a respectful approach towards hunting and nature. Debuting on SteamVR in 2025, a new wave of players on PSVR2 and Meta Quest now have the opportunity to stalk their prey with their preferred weapon or simply wander the vast terrain in a solo experience or with up to 6-player co-op.
Korpi Games on Virtual Hunter
The developer, Korpi Games, has built Virtual Hunter around the principles of careful observation, patience, and learning the land. With full day-night cycles, expansive terrain, and realistic animal behavior, you are free to shape each hunt your way. Some players even report spending more time exploring than hunting:
“The map is huge, and honestly, I’ve spent more time just wandering around checking everything out than actually hunting.”
The game includes a one of a kind trophy mount system, where players can freely place their taxidermied trophies around the lodge. You can choose different wall mounts, full body mounts and table mounts for small game. Each animal has several different poses to choose from.
Virtual Hunter PSVR2 & Meta Quest Launch
As previously reported by XRSource, Virtual Hunter is launching today on PSVR2 and Meta Quest. The game has seen a warm reception on SteamVR, so hopes are high for these latest editions of the game.
