KUKRGAME is planning on launching its VR survival horror adventure Dread Meridian in early 2026. But before that happens, the studio has open applications for players to test the multiplayer component at the end of this week.

The Multiplayer Test
The main component of Dred Meridian is a single-player campaign with optional co-op support. However, the team are also working on a multiplayer mode supporting up to four players. The players are split into two teams, with the ‘Humans’ tasked with escaping while the ‘Monsters’ have to stop them at all costs.
And it’s this mode that KUKRGAME wants to test. Sign up for the Dread Meridian test here, you have until 1st January 2026 to do so. The test will then begin on Friday, 2nd January, and you’ll need a Meta Quest 2, 3 or 3S to participate.
If you’re a fan of VR horror, this is an excellent chance to get an early look at the atmosphere and mechanics of Dread Meridian.
Dread Meridian Coming Soon
Dread Meridian has been inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s “At the Mountains of Madness”, set in the frozen wasteland of Oglanbyen. You step into the shoes of Daniela, a researcher who ventures to a remote Arctic island in search of her missing twin sister, Isabella. Whilst trying to locate her, you must face unimaginable creatures, solve puzzles and scavenge for resources in this harsh environment. All the while piecing together the mystery of her disappearance.
The game is slated to arrive for Meta Quest and SteamVR headsets in January, although KUKRGAME has yet to specify an exact launch date. You can already pre-order the game for Meta Quest to secure an early 15% discount. While on Steam, a free demo is still available.
The Best of VR Horror
The horror genre has a strong history in VR, and Dread Meridian looks like it might start the new year off with a bang. But let’s not forget that 2025 had some great additions to the genre, with the likes of Memoreum and BlackGate just some of the additions. You can check them all out in XRSource’s The Best New VR Horror Games of 2025 rundown.
