September/October is usually the time of year when we start seeing an influx of VR games for most headsets. And we have, kind of, but the PSVR 2 lineup is noticeably lacking. Dreams of Another, Reach, and Trenches VR were the only titles set to grace the headset this month. Thankfully, Salmi Games has announced the surprise arrival of Sweet Surrender for PSVR 2 later this month.

A Sweet Return
Sweet Surrender first launched for Meta Quest and SteamVR way back in 2021. An action-packed, roguelike shooter, the game first caught people’s attention thanks to its highly stylised, comic book aesthetics.
The gameplay essentially has you fighting your up through a dystopian megatower, utilising an array of weapons and abilities to gain the advantage. There are options galore in Sweet Surrender, from Medic, Grenadier, Sniper, and Reaper classes, all with their own unlockables, to finding upgrade chips to slow down time, and even siphon energy from enemies. All the while weilding pistols, shotguns, rifles, machine guns, snipers, explosive launchers, and melee weapons.
And as this is a roguelike, each new run is different as the megatower is procedurally generated. You’ll never know what’s around the corner.
And on PSVR 2, Sweet Surrender will also offer adaptive Triggers, haptic feedback and 90fps visuals!
