British developer Psytec Games returned to VR with a bang in September, releasing Titan Isles for Meta Quest and SteamVR. It’s been less than two weeks, and now the first update has arrived, tweaking and enhancing the experience. Most importantly, Titan Isles now features a New Game+ mode.

Titan Isles’ First Update
If you bought Titan Isles on day one, then you might have already completed the game. If that is the case, then the option of a New Game+ mode is certainly welcome. This adds harder enemies and increases the chip values to make another run through more interesting.
Then there are further key fixes and improvements. These include improved laser targeting on the Trident Titan Boss, improving player damage detection when behind fog walls; adding content to the screens in the Clouds Edge bar, improved player height calibration; improved Blink weapon balancing and lock-on accuracy and much more.
A Standout Shooter
Titan Isles looked like a promising action-shooter, and it’s fair to say XRSource was pleasantly surprised by what we found. As stated in our review: “Exploring the variety of airborne abilities you have on offer is truly a fun experience in VR. When coupled with a level design that allows you to flex those muscles and find shortcuts or alternate routes at every turn, you’ll have lots of fun simply putting together a plan for verticality and executing it.”
Titan Isles is one of our favourite games of 2025, but with the likes of Reach and Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow both due soon, the top game of the year is still up for grabs.
What else to expect?
At present, Psytec Games has yet to release a roadmap of planned additions to Titan Isles. Adding the New Game+ mode is a good start, and we expect there will be plenty of ways the team will support the game going forward. Especially considering the positive reception Titan Isles has received.
