XREAL Games launched its tactical shooter Zero Caliber 2 just over a year ago for Meta Quest headsets. Since then, the team has been working on bringing the game to PC VR headsets, reworking the title in the process. The wait is almost over, with Zero Caliber 2 Remastered scheduled to arrive this month on Steam.

What’s been Remastered?
The sequel to Zero Caliber: Reloaded (2018), Zero Caliber 2 is an intense first-person shooter (FPS) featuring a single-player campaign, four-player co-op and online PvP multiplayer. It’s packed full of content, from its multiple gameplay modes to its 60+ unlockable weapons and even native mod support.
Zero Caliber 2 Remastered won’t be a simple port, XREAL Games has said. It’ll feature redesigned combat scenarios, increased enemy counts, better AI and, of course, improved graphics. When it comes to that visual fidelity, explosions, muzzle flashes, lighting, shadows, and textures will all look better, and the weapons have been given a facelift to match. Alongside the enemy count almost doubling, their AI has been upgraded to provide more of a challenge. Furthermore, the ragdoll physics will behave better, with enemies reacting to bullets much more realistically.
However, this does mean the Quest and PCVR editions won’t have parity, so crossplay between them isn’t possible.
