It is very, very rare that a developer announces a release window for a game, only to reveal an earlier launch date. But that’s exactly what’s happened with Arken Age for Meta Quest. VitruviusVR has gone and moved the November launch window to October! Possibly because of Marvel’s Deadpool VR in November, the early release is great news for Quest owners.

Not waiting an Age
Initially, Arken Age hit PSVR 2 and PCVR headsets back in January, and quite often, ports to other platforms can take a while. Especially when you consider the game is a huge action-adventure that was designed for more powerful hardware. Weaving their magic wand, VitruviusVR have not only managed to port the game to Meta Quest in less than a year, from the look of recent trailers, they’ve done an excellent job of maintaining the graphical detail.
Arken Age stands out thanks to its stunning VR visuals, but that’s not all the game is. The single-player adventure drops players into a terraformed fantasy world called the Bio-Chasm, created by the Grand Arborist. Playing as one of the Arborist’s creations in this world, they have to fight Hyperion’s neural corruption, using all manner of Arkenite-infused swords and guns in this sprawling world.

Arken Age has already gone down a storm on PSVR 2 and SteamVR, and it looks to do the same on Meta Quest. Will you be playing on launch day? Let us know in the comments below.
