Cyan, the studio behind the award-winning puzzle adventure games Myst and Riven, made a surprise (and welcome announcement this week. The remastered versions of both Myst and Riven are being ported to PlayStation 5 and PSVR 2, set to arrive later this month.

When it comes to 90s’ puzzle classics, Cyan Worlds’ Myst (1993) and sequel Riven (1997) are at the top of that list. The former had a VR remake a few years ago and will soon be its successor’s turn. Cyan has confirmed that a Riven remake is set to arrive in 2024.

It is inevitable that as games and hardware age, videogame developers offer less and less support. This can be because time and effort need to be redistributed to newer content or it’s simply not affordable to keep things running. As you may be aware by now, Meta is ending support for the original Quest 1, and therefore so are developers. With this trend starting to build, here are the games dropping Quest 1 support that XR Source knows of.

Last week Zenith: The Lost City developer Ramen VR announced that it would be dropping support for the original Oculus Quest. But it isn’t the only game to make this announcement. Cyan has said that puzzle adventure Myst will also join the Quest 1 exodus later this year.
