Estonian studio CM Games and independent studio Superposition NULL, which was previously part of CM Games, have recently launched the quirky self-cooperative VR puzzle game, UnLoop. Now available for Meta Quest and Pico headsets, priced at $24.99 USD, the game has received a largely positive response. And now we’re learning about what’s coming next for the game.

UnLoop Launch

UnLoop is a retro-futuristic VR puzzle game built around self-cooperative time loop mechanics. As a spy infiltrating a remote space station, you encounter a temporal phenomenon that creates copies of yourself each loop, replaying your past actions in real time. Learning to work with your past selves and use the loop to your advantage becomes the only way forward. Your mission: solve puzzles, retrieve critical data from the station, and uncover the source of the time loop.

What this actually means in-play is that you’ll play as one avatar, then extinguish their life and respawn as another while the first repeats whatever actions you had committed to. It may sound complicated, but in practice it’s a simple process of acknowledging the task at hand and setting each new avatar up to work towards your goal.

Review

Our friends over at 131XR recently delivered a review of UnLoop, stating: “In the modern era of gaming there’s a high chance that CM Games are going to bring more challenges, more puzzles and so on to UnLoop.”

It seems that prediction is in fact totally accurate. Following the launch of UnLoop, CM Games has announced a roadmap of future DLC and updates for the game. You can watch 131XR’s UnLoop review below, and then get into the juicy details on what new content is on the way.

UnLoop Updates and DLC Roadmap

With the launch of UnLoop only just in our rearview mirror, we’re diving straight into what’s coming next. Below is the full lineup of future DLC and content updates for UnLoop revealed by CM Games.

  • September 2025 (Present Version): 4 Areas, 10+ Mechanics, 50+ Levels
  • December 2025 (1.1 Repair Conduits): New Story Chapter, New Puzzle Levels, PC VR Launch (Steam)
  • February 2026 (1.2 Timecraft Hanger): New Story Chapter, New Area, New Mechanics
  • May 2026: (1.3 Time Traveller’s Tale): New Story Chapter, New Area, New Mechanics
  • September 2026 (2.0 Infinity Lab): Story’s Finale, Level Editor

That’s a full year of planned DLC content for UnLoop. There’s currently no word on whether or not this will be free or paid DLC, but the tone of the delivery suggests the former. Furthermore, that last feature – a Level Editor – is certainly an intriguing prospect!
