Vampires make for good bad guys, don’t they? Games like Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice and Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire have used them to excellent effect. And now we have Dixotomia, a newly released Early Access game for Meta Quest.

What is Dixotomia?

A story-driven sci-fi shooter, you take on the role of SpecOps contractor, Ron Adams. Using an assortment of cutting-edge weapons and supernatural abilities, you have to fight through a branching narrative filled with vampires, mobs and other horrors. Featuring over 15 enemy types and 5 unique bosses, you can upgrade both skills and weapons, and switch between firearms in one hand and supernatural vampire abilities in the other as you explore five expansive environments.

“With Dixotomia, we set out to merge satisfying combat with meaningful player choice and push the limits of VR,” said Alex Smetanin, Founder of Deep Matrix. “From the PC-quality graphics to unique mechanics like forearm-based spark shooting and tactical dual wielding, every weapon, ability and decision carries weight. We wanted players to feel that impact both in action and the story.”

Dixotomia Early Access

Dixotomia began its Early Access period on 28th August, exclusively for Meta Quest headsets. You can buy the game now for $19.99 USD/£15.99 GBP on the Horizon Store.

If you happen to want the game on Steam, unusually, the game doesn’t seem to be entering Early Access on the platform. You can download a free demo, as well as request access to a play test. But neither of these will likely showcase as much of the game as the Meta Quest edition.

The Official Launch

It seems as though Steam users will have to wait for the official dual platform launch alongside the Quest later this year. Deep Matrix has yet to confirm a date, merely stating “Fall 2025”.

Have you been looking forward to Dixotomia arriving on Meta Quest. Will you be picking up an Early Access copy? Let us know in the comments.
