Soul Assembly has announced their next Meta Quest title. After finding success with the MR additions to Drop Dead: The CabinStreet Gods is a new MR action rogue-lite. The title is currently in development for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S, with release scheduled in Q4 2025.

About Street Gods

Set in a warped version of New York, Street Gods follows an ordinary girl who becomes the unlikely wielder of Mjolnir after it crashes into her neighbourhood. As the Norse realms collide with the real world, you’re thrown into a fight to restore fate. Can you hold back forces threatening to tear reality apart?

Throughout the story, you’ll face towering bosses and creatures from beyond the known world. Some are drawn from Norse mythology, others emerge through the cracks between realms. Each one presents a unique challenge that will put players’ skills to the test.

Street Gods Gameplay

Built in Unreal Engine, Street Gods combines physics-based melee combat with a run-based structure and a modular, replayable city. Each run is shaped by placing city blocks on a mystical Tafl board, letting players create their own path through a dynamic urban landscape.

Developer Soul Assembly claims that combat is ‘physical and precise’. Every swing, throw and recall of the hammer connects directly to player movement. Hits feel ‘weighty and responsive’, while well-timed combos and runic abilities allow players to adapt their approach.

“Street Gods captures the feeling of being a true superhero in VR,” said Joe Waterworth, Publishing Director at Soul Assembly. “It’s fast, physical and built around power you can feel. From the first hammer throw to the final blow, you’re in control of something bigger than yourself.”

Developed by Soul Assembly

Soul Assembly is a studio that has found considerable success in the immersive media. Along with the aforementioned Drop Dead: The Cabin, the studio has also developed the likes of Just Dance VR and Warhammer 40,000: Battle Sister. The catalogue the studio offers is fairly extensive, and show no signs of slowing down.
