Vaki Games’ Quantum Threshold made its debut on Meta Quest headsets earlier this summer, and is now also available for PC VR. Alongside this new launch comes a significant update, which sees numerous bugs laid to rest for gamers already enjoying Quantum Threshold.

Quantum Threshold Update

First up, let’s dive into that update for Quantum Threshold. Honestly, there’s not all that much information available. Known as the ‘Protocol Uplink’ update, the following is the direct communications from Vaki Games on the Meta Horizon Store, repeated here verbatim:

“Crushing bugs, improving performance, graphics and upgrading the core loop.”

That’s it. That’s all the info offered. With such a grand name, you might have been expecting more. But hey ho, fixing bugs is always a good practice regardless of what a developer decides to call it.

Quantum Threshold Review

At the initial launch of the game our friends over at 131XR delivered a Quantum Threshold review. Of course, this review was prior to the ‘Protocol Uplink’ update, so there may or may not be some changes to the game since then.

Quantum Threshold is a tough challenge, that’s for sure. A roguelike in which you’re wheelchair bound, designed for seated play, and often find yourself outnumbered and outgunned.

Unfortunately, the game feels a little confused about how it wants to play. It constantly presents unnecessary complications while pressure is on for you to return the enemy aggression. You can find out more about how the game plays in the video below.

PC VR Launch

So, with the Meta Quest edition out, updated and reviewed, we now come to the PC VR launch. Available now via SteamVR, the game does not currently have any reviews. It’s priced at £21.99 GBP, with a launch discount available. This brings the current price down to £19.79, but only until 24th July, 2025.

Have you been playing Quantum Threshold on Meta Quest? Has the update changes the game experience much for you? Or were you waiting for the PC VR edition of the game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
