After debuting on Meta Quest just last week, Cave Crave has now made its way to PSVR 2. Originally developed by 3R Games, the creators of the hit title Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street, Take IT Studio! is handling the PSVR 2 release of the game. Cave Crave cracked the list of 50 top selling Meta Quest titles, so can the PSVR 2 edition reach the same level of success?

Cave Crave is a Spelunking Adventure
Cave Crave is described by its creators as, “the most realistic cave exploration experience in VR.” The game combines physical climbing, crawling, and its unique tight-space traversal mechanics.
Cave Crave features hand-crafted, natural cave layouts that challenge spatial awareness and orientation. With no built-in map, you must use chalk markings to create your own trail and avoid getting lost deep beneath the surface. To get ahead you must remember where you came from!
A selection of gameplay modes are available at launch:
- Story Mode: Start your journey with the first chapter of the story-driven expedition. A second map pack expanding the narrative is already in development and will be released as a free update shortly after launch.
- Tourist Mode: Take your time to explore already visited caves without pressure or danger. Perfect for those who want to enjoy the environment and soundtrack in peace.
- Horror Mode: A completely optional standalone mode that plunges players into mysterious depths. Face the unknown where your tools are your only protection. Not recommended for the faint-hearted.
PSVR 2 Edition
The PSVR 2 edition of Cave Crave is available from today. How is it different from the Meta Quest version? Well, the game takes advantage of some of the headsets unique features, such as headset rumble, but aside from that we’re not really sure.
You can expect better visual quality of course, but at the time of writing Cave Crave doesn’t appear to have been enhanced for PS5 Pro.

What’s Next for Cave Crave?
According to 3R Games, the launch of Cave Crave is ‘just the beginning’. The game will be supported post-launch with regular free content updates. These include new maps, story expansions, and features designed to deepen the experience for both casual spelunkers and hardcore cave explorers.
Cave Crave is available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, and now also on PSVR 2. Have you been enjoying the game on Meta Quest, or were you waiting for the PSVR 2 launch? Let us know in the comments below!
