A little over a year ago, Squido Studio released its multiplayer sandbox DigiGods – formerly called Anarchiacts – into early Access for Meta Quest. After a successful 1.0 launch, the team has now released DigiGods 2.0, completely rebooting the game from the ground up.

What is DigiGods?
If you’ve not encountered DigiGods just yet for Meta Quest headsets, it’s a game designed around fun and creativity. This is a community-driven experience where you can hang out with friends, run around and play mini games or even get creative and build your own world.
This is a physics-based sandbox environment with boundless possibilities, in a similar vein to titles like Dreams or Rec Room.
What’s new in DigiGods 2.0?
There’s a lot new in DigiGods 2.0! It’s so big that Squido Studio have classed it more as a reboot than merely an update. So, for starters, there’s a new 16-player hub world filled with dozens of wild new tools and toys. Players can also enjoy redesigned avatars, a lore-driven tutorial, and a full cosmetic overhaul.
The new DigiCity Hub offers activity zones, game links, and an interactive shop where players can preview hundreds of cosmetics in-world. If you’re new to the game, a brand-new multiplayer tutorial will teach you everything you need to know. While the avatar redesign makes characters more expressive, more customizable, and way more elastic – with animated eyes, mouth-synced speech, clapping, and individually articulated fingers.
If you’re not interested in the creative elements and just want to run around causing havoc, grab the Balloon Gun, Yo-Yos, glowsticks, and even a Rave Spinner. Then try the Arcade Mode, a series of mini-challenges with no setup required.

Where next for DigiGods?
Having released such a massive overhaul of the game, it’s likely that Squido Studio might relax for a short while. However, that likely won’t last long, considering the prolific update output of the studio in previous months.
DigiGods fans can get more involved in the community over on the game’s active Discord server. And for more updates on this social VR game, keep reading XRSource!
